GAVIN Strachan has agreed a one year deal to join Hinckley United.


Franklin's trials

CONNOR Franklin will go on trial at three Football League clubs as he tries to get himself a return to the full time professional game.

The versatile defender who had trials with both Coventry City and Lincoln City last term and attracted the interest of Crewe Alexandra has been offered terms to stay at Hinckley United under the Bosman Ruling.


Hamilton races in

HINCKLEY United have signed up highly rated winger Louis Hamilton for a second season.

The 19 year-old who has come through the ranks at the Greene King Stadium playing for the club's youth team and for Hinckley Downes last season has made 12 full appearances for the first team.

New striker signs

HINCKLEY United have signed Andre Gray following his release from League Two side Shrewsbury Town.

The 19 year-old who is known for his pace and aggression upfront has agreed a one year deal with the Knitters who he spent a month on loan with last term.


Triple swoop

HINCKLEY United have made a triple signing ahead of the 2010/11 Blue Square Bet North campaign.

Striker Gary King, highly rated central defender Richard Munday and goalkeeper Danny Haystead have all signed on the dotted line along with five players who have joined from last season's squad.


Planning ahead

HINCKLEY United are talking to a number of players ahead of the new Blue Square Bet North campaign and hope to announce new recruits very soon.

Manager Dean Thomas has held talks with all of last season's squad along with potential fresh signings.  The Knitters boss has spoken to the current squad - some of who have agreed to sign - along with new players and a strong squad will be in place with plenty of optimism for the start of the season on Saturday August 14th. All players who have agreed to sign along with newcomers will be announced next week.

Pre season training begins on July 3rd, with the friendly schedule finalised below. Leicester City were approached for a friendly, but have declined.

HINCKLEY United Football Club are creating a family atmosphere at the Greene King Stadium for World Cup 2010.


Later start

THE 2010/11 Blue Square football season will be kicking off a week later on Saturday August 14th 2010.

The season will end a week later this year with the final league matches on Saturday April 30th.
