THE Football Conference have this afternoon (Monday) lifted the registration embargo placed on Hinckley United.

This enables the club to sign and register players for the 2009/10 season.

DEFENDER Lee Collins is back in the squad for the local derby with Barwell at the Greene King Stadium tonight (Monday) 7.30pm.

The former Solihull Moors man was absent during the weekend defeat by Coventry City due to a work commitement - a physiotherapy course but is back in the squad to face Marcus Law's side.

HINCKLEY United have joined forces with Tesco to launch a community initiative aimed at revamping part of the Greene King Stadium complex.

The supermarket giant who have a major distribution centre and two stores in the town will be revamping the former Hinckley Town site and turning it into an all year round sports complex.

MANHATTAN'S Bar and Diner and the Sunday carvery will be closed until early August while we undergo a number of changes in both the kitchen and bar areas ahead of the new season.

Sports pictures will be replacing the diner photos in the coming weeks and a number of old photos will be returning to the walls. We are in the process of gaining additional memorabilia via the Hinckley Times who have kindly agreed through sports reporter Ian Gallagher and freelance photographer Jim Tomlinson to provide us with large prints from glory days of the past.

CHAMPIONSHIP side Coventry City will be bringing  a full strength squad for the trip to face Hinckley United at the Greene King Stadium tomorrow (Saturday) 3pm.

Hinckley boss Dean Thomas will cast his eye once again on his squad in their fifth pre-season outing. The Knitters manager is aiming to trim down the trialists after the game and then work with the remaining players in the run up to the new season on August 8^th.
