Chima Dozie came off the bench to give Hinckley United a 1-0 win over Sutton Coldfield. His well taken goal late in the match gave the Knitters their second win of the pre-season.

The team return to action again on Tuesday away at Bedworth.

Shirt Sponsorship Draw 2010

Hinckley United has a new shirt sponsor for the 2010/11 season.

Local legal firm Thomas Flavell & Sons will appear on the front of the first team shirts after being coming out of the hat first at this evening's draw.

Paynes of Hinckley came out second and will appear on the back of the first team shirts, with Mansfield Decorators taking the 3rd prize of first team shorts sponsor.

EVERYONE is invited to come and watch the new shirt sponsors of Hinckley United Football Club being drawn on Thursday evening.

The draw takes place from 7.30pm in Nobby's Bar with free entertainment provided by singer and Robbie Williams / Michael Buble tribute Dougie Sambora.

Barwell defeat

HINCKLEY United were beaten 2-1 by local rivals Barwell in a pre-season friendly.

Dean Thomas' side took a first half lead through Michael McGrath but conceded a dubious penalty and fell to a second half defeat.

They return to action on Friday night at the Greene King Stadium against Sutton Coldfield. (7.45pm)

50/50 seller wanted

A VOLUNTEER is wanted to sell 50/50 tickets on matchdays at Hinckley United.

The position needs to be filled by an outgoing, confident and polite individual who can sell tickets to supporters in and around the ground. Admission to Hinckley United games is given to whoever takes on the role.

HINCKLEY United are looking for a volunteer to help run the club's official website.

The individual will be responsible for updating the news sections of the website and uploading match reports which will be supplied.

The website is template based so is easy to manage and manuals and backup support will be provided.

This position does involve responsibility as the website is a core part of the club's profile in the community.

Franklin winner

CONNOR Franklin returned from trial spells at Kidderminster Harriers and Burton Albion to hit the winner for Hinckley United in a 1-0 victory over Evesham United.

The defender was a surprise inclusion in Dean Thomas' squad and came on as a second half substitute to give the Knitters their first win of pre-season.

The club return to their build up on Saturday away at Quorn FC.

HINCKLEY United play their first home pre-season friendly on Saturday when they face Championship side Coventry City at the Greene King Stadium. (3pm)

The Sky Blues - like last season - are bringing a first team squad with them who have high hopes for success in 2010/11.

Dave departing

GENERAL Manager Dave Riche is leaving Hinckley United to take over as the new Commercial Manager of Woking Football Club.

He leaves the club after a four year spell where he was responsible for generating off the field revenue at the Greene King Stadium site. Dave will continue his duties with Hinckley until the end of the month.

Trialists on show

HINCKLEY United will take a squad of trialists to Sheepy Road on Wednesday evening to face Atherstone Town in a pre-season friendly.

No signed players will be taking part in the game - it is to give manager Dean Thomas a chance to view any potential new recruits from the pre-season training sessions in match action.

HINCKLEY United Football Club expects in the next 48 hours to receive monies to pay off outstanding debts to the Inland Revenue and any unpaid players.

This will satisfy requirements laid down by the Football Association, Football Conference and HMRC.

The club will then look forward to the 2010/11 campaign and success both on and off the field.
