Selection dilemma?

HINCKLEY United manager Dean Thomas has to decide whether to stick with a winning team or add defenders James Mace and Lee Collins back into the starting lineup for the FA Cup First Round Proper trip to Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday.

Mace has served a three match ban while Collins is showing signs of recovery from a hamstring problem ahead of the club's big FA Cup clash.

But after watching his unchanged side beat Gainsborough Trinity last night to close the gap on the top teams in the league and open up a five point barrier on the chasing pack, Thomas admits his players are all fired up and ready to go to Rushden and cause another cup upset.

Captain Rich Lavery scored his fourth of the season and Alex Taylor who continues to impress in an unfamiliar role scored the second. Neil Cartwright was again impressive as he slots into a right back position again.

Thomas said: "I was pleased with the win last night and the players are getting some excellent form but I know they are capable of this.

"There were a lot of scouts watching the game last night and the Rushden manager was here and he will see the work ethic and focus of the players out there.

"They know Saturday is going to be a test, but we are capable of going there and getting something.

"Rushden have superiority in terms of the league, but everyone knows what the FA Cup is all about."

Keep and eye on the website this week for up to date cup information.
