No fear mentality

HINCKLEY United take on Southport at the Greene King Stadium on Monday night aiming to show once again their no fear mentality against the top teams in Blue Square North. (7.45pm)

The two sides drew 1-1 back in September with Adam Webster on target for the Knitters and on Monday night, Hinckley United will be aiming to go one better. The match is joint sponsored by Progress Windows and Hardy and Draper.

Skipper Rich Lavery and striker Webster are still on the treatment table and will not be in contention for the game tomorrow, while James Mace will again face a late fitness test on his groin injury. Paul Lister returns from suspension while new signing Leighton Simmonds comes into contention.

Manager Dean Thomas said: "Southport will be a tough game but we have faced some of the best teams in the league this season and given them a test and up at Southport we conceded late for them to get a point.

"We've added some more faces to the squad recently to help us with the injuries and remember we are still third in the table and focused totally on getting into the play-off places."

On Monday evening, the bar will open from 6pm.  The match programme will be at the reduced rate of £1 for the evening to sell off the issues initially printed for the December fixture. An insert will be inside the programme featuring manager's notes, statistics, and opinion pieces. The original programme still has all the Southport data from the initial programme.  Remember, every penny you spend goes to help with the running of Hinckley United Football Club - so please support us whenever you can.

Admission is £9 for adults, £6 for concessions which includes students with valid ID and £3 for under 16s. As always it is free admission to under 12s.
