Heggs is back!
Feb 8, 2010

CARL Heggs has made a return to Hinckley United and goes straight into the squad for tonight's game with Southport at the Greene King Stadium. (7.45pm)
The striker (pictured above) has recently been with Redditch United but has left the club to make a return and add some experience to Hinckley United's forward line.
The 39 year-old scored seven goals in 29 games during his last spell with the Knitters which ended in February 2007.
During a Football League career he played for West Bromwich Albion, Bristol Rovers, Swansea City, Northampton Town, Chester City and Carlisle United. At non-league level he represented Forest Green Rovers, Tamworth (two spells), Redditch United (two spells) and King's Lynn where he was manager until their demise last year. He links up with fellow new signing Leighton Simmonds who was also with him at Kings Lynn.
Manager Dean Thomas said: "Carl is the sort of experience you need both out on the field and in the changing room having some banter with the lads and firing them up.
"He's an old pro who has been there and done it and he is what we need to blend with the current mix we have at the club."
Southport are second in Blue Square North and Hinckley are third, going into tonight's match.
Admission is £9 for adults, £6 for concessions which includes students with valid ID and £3 for under 16s. As always it is free admission to under 12s.
