THE form book will be put to the test tomorrow at the Greene King Stadium when Stalybridge Celtic are the visitors. (3pm)

Steve Burr's side will be looking to regain top spot in Blue Square North and in their last six visits to Hinckley have won four and drawn two matches.

The last game between the two sides was a 7-1 mauling for the Knitters away at the Bower Fold.

However, this season promises to be so much different with Hinckley United unbeaten on home turf since August in the league. Prior to the last league match away at Blyth Spartans, the Knitters had the tightest defence in the league and it will be put to the test again tomorrow afternoon.

Hinckley are ninth in the league and seven points behind the visitors with a game in hand.  James Mace is the only absentee for Dean Thomas' side as he serves the second on his three game ban.

Thomas said: "Tomorrow is a game we want to win and the players are focussed on what needs to be done.

"We gave two games in three days ahead of our cup tie next weekend - but both of them are at home and we have a good record up to now.

"I have always said it is important to win your home games and that is what we have been doing.

"Stalybridge are a well organised attacking side and Steve Burr is an experienced manager and we will be put to the test tomorrow afternoon.

"Hopefully we will have a good crowd down here again and it really does get the players going when the crowd is behind them."

The game is being themed for Halloween with supporters urged to come along in fancy dress!

The bar will be dressed up for Halloween with the barstaff all getting dressed up to get in the spirit.

The Hinckley United All Stars cheerleader team will be doing a special Halloween Thriller routine at 2.45pm with a special surprise dancer joining them and guaranteed to add a scary moment to proceedings!

Before the game, as part of the ongoing community initiative between Hinckley United and Tesco, the club's junior under 8s team will take on a team from Silverstone in a friendly on the main pitch at 2pm which will be refereed by manager Dean Thomas.

Prizes will be on offer for the best dressed adult and child on the day and remember to bring the kids along as anyone under 12 will be admitted for free!

Free face-painting will be available inside the club for either adults or kids who want to take part in the Halloween fancy dress competition.

The social club is open from 12.30pm for the Arsenal v Spurs game and will stay open for the Manchester United v Blackburn match at 5.30pm with bitter from £2.30 and lager from £2.40.

In the TF Bell Suite come and sample the special pre match day carvery with a special spicy pumpkin soup for starters. Prices are £5.95 for one course and £6.95 for two courses.
