THIS SUMMER signals the start of new community programmes and initiatives ran by Hinckley United Football Club, in the Hinckley and Bosworth areas.

Social Inclusion and Learning Programmes

Recently started, in partnership with the Learn Fit Programmes, Hinckley United FC is the base for a Football Academy, for young people aged between 16 and 19. On this 14 week programme, the players will be accessing football coaching for three days a week, whilst learning how to become a Sports Coach themselves. Players will be working towards a Community Sports Leaders Award and will also gain a First Aid qualification.

The Learn Fit Programmes engages young people using sport, raises their self-esteem and confidence, helping them to progress into education, employment or training. Our aim is to reduce the number of NEET (Not in Employment Education or Training) young people in the area.

In time, Hinckley United FC's Community Coaches will be providing the young people of Hinckley and Bosworth football opportunities in various locations, such as Youth Centres and schools, aimed at bringing them off the streets and into a fun and structured football environment.

Hinckley United FC is among a group of Learning Programmes of this nature, others being based in Coalville, Loughborough and Leicester.

Community Coaching

Starting this summer, Hinckley United FC are also offering Summer coaching programmes, based at the club on their 3G Artificial Pitch, in partnership with Kick Start Football. We are offering 4 weeks of coaching over the summer holidays, two weeks of Football and two weeks of Multi Sports.

Great Reasons To Join Us...

1. Based at the Green King Stadium with visits from players and a free tour of the Stadium and presentations at the end of the week.

2. Our holiday courses are designed to be great fun for participants including Fun Warm Ups, Challenge the Coaches and Tournaments.

3. Qualified, CRB checked and First Aid trained coaches give you the chance toreceive expert and personal advice in Football and a number of other sports if you attend a Multi Sports course.

Details of the coaching courses are as follows:

Football               Monday 19th - Friday 23rd July      10 am - 3 pm     

Multi Sports       Monday 26th - Friday 31st July      10 am - 3 pm

Football               Monday 16th - Friday 20th Aug      10 am - 3 pm

Multi Sports       Monday 23rd - Friday 27th Aug      10 am - 3 pm

Course costs are £45 for three days, £50 for four and £60 for a full week. Breakfast Clubs are also available for an extra £5 a day and we will also offer a 20% discount for sibling bookings.
